Need some piston help

Need some piston help I just bought a 2002 Pontiac Trans Am that has 14000 miles on the odometer. I heard that you could use a "stock" bore pistion like the Lunati or Speed-Pro with a low mileage or new engine block. Does this fall in that catagory? I know the cylinder walls need the graze honed off to ensure the piston rings seat properly.

I did something like that on a different engine that came out of a junk yard. I checked the bore for taper and out-of-round and found the it to be very good. So I just honed the cylinder walls to break the glaze off and installed new rings with the original pistons. I don't know if that motor was overhauled before the guy junked it or the newer engine parts have reduced the amount of wear.
