Default push rods to long?

installing heads that are milled .030, stock gm mls gaskets, a f-13 cam, type r lifters and harland adj. rockers. i tried a set of 7.35 p/r's and they are WAY to long. i have a p/r checker on the way. the guy i bought the heads from used 7.4's, stock lifters and rockers with no problems. should the harlands and type r's change everything that much? anyone have a guess as to what lenght i will end up needing?
