It'll clear. A buddy of mine just installed some 62cc PRC LS6 heads with his 230/224 cam, and it cleared without issue.

You should be fine as long as you don't mill a ton. I'd measure if I were you though.

I went to the track Friday. Babied the car for 2 passes and then broke an axle on the third pass. I'll have some updated times soon. The car is very strong and should trap over 120mph. My first pass I went 11.8x at 108; I don't have a roll bar and didn't want to get kicked out so I let out at the top of thrid and didn't accelerate at all in fourth. Second pass, I missed 2nd, granny shifted the rest of the pass and ran a 12.2x at 117+. These two passes were launching the car at about 3k. I tried to launch at 6,900 rpm like I normally do and popped an axle. Time to upgrade the stockers.

Ohh, btw... My best cam only pass was 11.78 @ 116.2 with a 1.60 60'. So the car is MUCH stronger now.

How does launching at 6900 rpm work out for you? How high do you spin this motor anyway? Maybe that was a misprint - just curious.

Splatt, mine cleared and you can see what I'm running in my sig...

I think you'll be fine. Should make good power too...

Lift on my cam is .595/.603...didn't realize that wasn't in my sig...

My rev limiter is set at 6,900, and I usually launch off of it. It worked out great before the heads. I was cutting 1.60 60's on the stock suspension with et streets. I spin the car to 6,800 before shifting.

Well, the car made 383/367 cam only. I will let you know my new #'s after my tune gets freshened up. Shouldn't be long at all; I'm about to schedule the tune. Hopefully Thunder isn't too backed up.

What are you having the heads milled to? I went to 62cc chambers, and my DCR went to 8.19. Wish I would have had them milled to a 61cc chamber. That would have put me at 8.29 (much better IMO)

I honestly have no idea what type of power I'm making now. Maybe the 430 range??? The previous dyno of 383 was with my ls1 with 80k miles on it. I now have an almost new ls6 shortblock and new PRC heads. So, anyones guess is as good as mine.

I dropped a valve about 1.5 weeks ago. Broke a 918 while the car was idling at 850rpm. It ruined a head, piston, and cylinder. So, I just swapped in a ls6 shortblock out of a '05 CTSV. Only has about 8k miles on it. I'm in good shape now. If I were you I'd go with the dual springs to try and avoid this happening to you.
