The horsepower an engine makes depends on how well each part works together with it's other parts. For instance if you have more intake flow than you have exhaust capacity your engine will make less horsepower than if the flow was balanced. Kids are more concerned with the lope of a camshaft than they are to maximizing horsepower based on the needs of the engine. The G5-X2 is a lot of camshaft which, in my opinion, is too much cam for a cam only engine. It really needs the extra flow of a set of ported heads to reach it's maximum potential. The G5-X3 is an even bigger cam which needs even more airflow. The smaller of the two cams should produce more horsepower in a cam only engine but if ported heads were added to the engines the results should show the larger cam making the most horsepower assuming everything else in the engines were the same.

It makes great horsepower. I'm runing the G5-X2 but mine is on a 112. Stock lift is 598/609. I seriously doubt that 003/001 aditional lift would be worth messing with. I would suggest getting an LS6 intake first. I'd also suggest Calling LG Motorsports and talking to Lou or Louis about your setup and exactly what you are wanting out of the cam. They are great guys and will be glad to help you. Good luck.
