LS6 Heads and a T rex

Was going to go with a T rex and my stock 241 heads, but I ended up buying a set of LS6 (243 casting) heads from another member. Quesion is - Anyone running this H/C combo? Any PTV issues? And, who does the best head porting in the Chicago area (NW Burbs)?

With the heads being off the car id flycut anyways.

I have a buddy wit ha trex and stock 241 heads that are slightly worked. His car pulls very hard and sounds incredible.

Just dont flycut to much. The stock pistons are only somewhere around 250 thousanths deep. You can get you a can of play do put it on your pistons and set your heads on and turn your harmonic balancer, let it dry then measure the depth.

Well yeah its still a good idea to clay the heads but what im getting at is he has no room for a missed shift, thats why he should flycut regaurdless.

I will clay the setup since I don't have a caliper and setup springs. Just kinda wondered if anyone has run this combo. Fly cutting looks like it might be a pita... Guess I'll have to waste one of my 241 heads...

Maybe I don't, I haven't done any fly cutting before but I thought that you needed a head to use ase a "guide". Guess maybe you could just pop the seat out? Still learning...
