try tracing the wires back to the PCM, and make sure there is no after market components that could be feeding off the wire. or anything the can create an magnetic field such as relays.

Well I tried tricking the PCM with resistors in the temp sensor. I made the car think it was running at 88 degrees. Same thing happened it got warm and it threw the code for the crank sensor and started running like ****. DAMN!!!!!!!!

How about the PCM itself ?
Since its heat related it may be the pcm.
Maybe you can swap it out with one from another 99 ?

Good Luck
Ryan

Could the cam sensor screw with me without throwing a code for it? What else could it be?

I think it's gotta be the motor in some way. All of a sudden a new motor starts doing this. Like I mentioned before if it isn't a sensor mounting issue, what about the crank reluctor?

My shop said they didn't screw with the reluctor wheel at all. Before I put the oil pan on I looked at it, and it looked good to my eyes. I just don't know why it runs good untill it hits op temp.

I'm not that good at reading the cars tune logs so if any body knows how to read the tune logs just pm me your e-mail address and I can send a few logs. I have HP tuners, don't know if you can read them with out having HP tuners.

For what it's worth, my buddy had the exact(I mean exact) same thing happen to him....The reluctor ring on his had moved over a notch...we had to look at my stock wheel and count to where the ring lined up...hope this helps a little....my buddy was done for over 6 weeks before we figured this out.....his would idle fine until hot,,,then run like ****...pulled his crank and had my other buddy mark it where my stock ring was on my crank...had it spot welded....he's been fine since..
