Worth Swapping Heads?
These 243's are already flowing 300cfm @ .600...
I don't have to do any flycutting with the TRex right?
Shoot you are turning that thing into a monster! IMHO at your stage, and what we intend, is just to save for bigger cubes. SDPC has a great deal on a 427 LS7 shortblock, and with the Warhawk LS7X now it should be fairly interesting to see more cars becoming nightmares for Mustangs everywhere!
Ryan, with the amount you want to spend on just changing your setup, you can almost get a stroker motor up and running!
guess im gonna go another route

The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
Anybody know what times that car ran? Dyno numbers are nice, but the bottom line is track times. I hope it ran good. I will end up with Terminators in the future if they consistently perform.
I guess you could make a jig and flycut the pistons while still in the block in the car, but would think that would be differcult too, getting it right.
It would be the same no matter how you do it as far as getting the depth correct. There's a collar on the shaft of the tool so you only cut as deep as you set it.
with T-Rex you dont need to fly cut. please tell me that you did rod bolts also, if not you need to do them so you can spin into upper rpms.. also since you have a 99 you are going to have issues with oil return.. how are you going to pass a T-Rex through cali smog laws? haha. if you got a LQ4 block and painted it with aluminized paint i dont think you would get caught, just by looking at it i couldnt tell the diffrence, let alone some snivling cali emissions jerkoff. only reason why i say LQ4 in your case is because you have the poor oil return 99, might as well build another shortblock to put into your car, with all the associated goodies and then put your LS6 heads on your new 6.0 beauty
far as flycutting.... i'm not wanting to go through that hassle
far as bad '99 block.... this is just temporary as i will probably will be swapping it out or rebuilding the bottom end
far as minimal gains.... how minimal are we talking here? 10~15 throughout the band? ...think i need to go do some research
