Default When Checking PTV & PR Length......

I'm in the final stages of getting my motor together. That said,, I want to check the PTV and PR lengths to be sure. I'm wondering about the head gaskets you use when checking. I'm got new .060 gaskets ($180+) but don't want to waste these on this. Do you guys use shims or old gaskets and then adjust measurments based on thickness,,, or use the new ones then reuse them.

Thanks!

I would just use the old gasket and like you said adjust the number for thickness.

I might be true that if you don't heat cycle the head gaskets, you can use them when checking the PTV, and final assembly...
