Default Oil pump question

I'm thinking about picking up a LS6 oil pump for $75, my question is how much do you think it would cost to get it ported? thanx for any info

if your just porting it, you can easily do it yourself if you have a dremel, porting the oil pumps easier then the t/b imo. and why are you buying a unported ls6? you can get a ported one for slightly more then that.

don't know alot about the ls6 oil pumps let alone the ported ones an when i saw it for 75 bucks it looked like a good deal considering at that moment i didnt know how much ported ones were. but im gonna wait till i do a cam swap to get one an like you said--i'll prolly just end up getting a ported one anyway.

Port it yourself, once you have the oil pump in your hands, it will be obvious where you need to remove some metal. Or buy one already ported, if you absolutely have to have a ported LS6 oil pump. A stock LS6 oil pump should be sufficient.

Just buy it and slap it on. Stock LS6 are plenty. I've never run any ported pump. I never had a motor that required one (7000rpm +)
