Cam recomendations please...
Hey guys, the time has come. I have been cosidering a cam for a long time now, and I need a new one so I don't end up spending countless thousands on a new corvette and have to start over again.
I have full bolt-ons with the exception of the LS6 intake ( I will be doing this at the same time as the cam) I was looking at this cam from SDPC
"The Z-Plus 220 is a step above the venerable Z06 camshaft, excellent choice for stock cylinder heads and mild bolt-on upgrades. Good idle quality with a noticeable "cam upgrade" sound. We suggest the Z06 valve spring kit #12499224"
SDPC Part Number: CRA144HR67
Manufacturer: Scoggin Dickey Parts Center
Camshaft Name : Z+220
Camshaft Duration @ 0.050" I/E : 220° / 224°
Valve Lift : 0.551" / 0.551"
Lobe Seperation Angle : 114°
Does anyone have any experience with this cam? How hard does it pull? Does it have any lope to it?
I don't want anything real crazy like a TREX because I will be driving this on a daily basis. And I don't want anything that will be too hard on the valve train.
Or a Crane Z-Cam 224/224 .551/.551
Performance cam for cars, stock or w/mild engine modifications. Use in 5.7-6000 engines. Good idle, slight chop. Must use 144832-16 valve springs. Auto or manual transmission. Good cam for PowerMax Tuner.
Thanks

Hi GC456,
If for any reason you look for a camshaft and a valve event that is absolutely great for a DD with a lot of torque, a wide torque curve and a strong pic of power around 6400rpm for the performance side (carrying the curve to 6900rpm easy) with certainly the maximum admissible overlap without any kind of surging when cruising at 1100 rpm or stuck in traffic, also still friendly manners and reasonnable mileage and not requiring to flycut your piston's head I have a :
228/230 .639-.592 @ 112 LSA +0 ... int LSK lobe / exh XE-R lobe to sell with his cam card from THUNDER
Let me know
