Default Truck Problems

I posted a problem in the Truck Forum but have yet to get any responses back as of yet and was wondereing if any of you guys might have an answer. Need insight on my intake problem...I had blown intake gaskets on this 94` 350 ci ...i replaced them with new fel-pro set,and this project did include all of the normal removal procedures including the distributor, which was carefully marked for timing...sealant was placed on the head side of gasket but not on intake side...everything went back together ok,but now the truck will not start...since then i have checked for spark and fuel, and have both, but i also pulled all plugs and found water in one and fuel in another but that was it.the motor tries to start but not anything more than a slight roll....cranks fine..i have also loosened the distributor and turned slightly in both directions and motor acts the same....am curious if maybe there is some issues with the intake sucking air or if the timing is off really bad.....any help is good help right now as i have plenty of time, but out of ideas.......
This is a friends truck that we worked on this weekend. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!!

If you have both fuel and spark, then it must not be timed right. Double check that the wires are all ran properly, mark the location of #1 on the distributor base, and make sure the rotor is pointed at it while at TDC on the compression stroke. I try to dial in a little advance like 14-16 BTDC to get it to start. Turn the engine over until you get the desired timing on the indicator, then rotate the distributor until the reluctors align while pointing the rotor at #1.
