LQ9 vs LS1 in power output?

LQ9 vs LS1 in power output? Comparing the 2 engines and installing the same cam into the LQ9(317 heads) as you would the LS1 and throw a LS6 intake on the LQ9 same as you would the LS1 which engine will produce more power? Both having the basic bolt on supporting mods, ie: headers, ported throttle body, Lid. Is it also worth the swap into an F-body for the power gain assuming their is one?

LQ9 for sure. Nearly identical compression, but the LQ9 has a bigger bore, more displacement and better heads. Also aluminum blocks wick away a bit more power.
Lq9 is severely detuned from the factory since its in a heavy truck that has a 10,000lb tow rating. You dont want to overheat that engine under sustained load.
edit: Both the Lq9 and the Ls1 has 10.0:1 compression.

According to GM's website, Marine versions of the LQ4 are rated for 370 hp and the LQ9 is rated for 380. I've seen a few of the marinizers get a bit more out of them with exhaust manifolds (typically 5 to 20hp).

I know this seems pretty un-related, but it just goes to show there is a fair bit more power there than GM may be advertising (or allowed to because of testing protocols & fairly conservative tunes).
