cracked cylinder in a 98 model block

Default cracked cylinder in a 98 model block

ive got a customer ive got to freshen his bottom end and install heads cam headers and exhaust on. well when i got the motor out and drained the oil it was full of water and #7 cyl. is cracked busted piston tryn to shoot it a 1/2 a mile we own a machine shop but have never sleeved a ls1 block can it be done going back to stock bore if so is it like old models just leave a few thousandths press fit and a small lip to lock it in with at the bottom or whats the procedure.

You'd be money ahead by finding a good block to start with. MTI spent years perfecting the sleeving process on the LS1's before getting it right. Now it's just cheaper to get an LS2 block with the larger bores.
