wont idle
my tuner cant get the car to idle. It idles in park but when put in gear it dies. I just did heads/cam, stock ported heads 2.02/1.60, 234/242 .598/.610 114. Using 7.4 pushrods. He was doing a speed density tune, no maf. They tried swapping out the tps sensor but that didnt do anything different. The heads were milled 4 thousandths to make sure there was no warping. Is that enough to change pushrod length needed? I need some ideas to give them. Alot of time has been wasted trying to fix the problem with the computer. I need my car FINISHED by today, sunday 11-5, before i go out of town for work for several weeks.

Idle
Hi, what is your idle set at? When my car was done, my idle was at 700-750 and it would die at a light or backing up in a parking lot. But at 850, it's fine, no issues. I'd suggest you contack HP tuners or HPE, they'll hook you up I'm sure. Hey, maybe there is a vacuum line that is not connected. I've read in another thread with the same problem and it was a single vacuum line. Later

i believe he had the idle set at 950. he said he could correct for it by setting it way high but the problem would show itself later on and would have to tune all over again. I told them to hook up a gauge and test the vacuum. How important is the waiting 30seconds on the tps relearn. I was watching them and they would unplug the wire while it was running or before started but they never waited 30 seconds, turned key on & off without firing it up. How important is the wait?

they pulled the valve covers and the pushrods are way off. if the cam was any bigger could have really messed stuff up. they didnt have the right pushrod checker so dont know the size needed just yet
