How much to expect to pay for good heads/cam package?
How much to expect to pay for good heads/cam package? I remember some shops around town several years ago charging like $8,500 for a good heads/cam package ... but then again that was installed! It seems to me that they are getting cheaper and cheaper as technology is advanced and competition gets more fierce. What kind of money can I expect to pay for a good heads/cam package on a bolt ons car to get around 400rwhp?
you can do a cam only setup with bolt-ons to hit that number. I started with a bone stock 99 C5 and spent around 8K for my initial setup but I modded everything. Here is a list. This was installed also, but I did get some good deals on a few parts and it took me a awhile to get everything.

dont mean to hijack this thread,but i had a question in reguards to install cost.Right now I cant decide between heads or nitrous both are $1000(budget heads)(nitrous with all safety equip),if I supply the parts what is the cost to install heads or what would be the cost to install nitrous.
