Arrow Another 370 thread

Ive searched all 6 pages of info for the 370ci guys but it didnt help me all that much. It doesnt seem like there is to many guys doing this but if so post dyno #s and info on motor for others that might do this same build in the future as well. As of right now the only things i have for this build is the 6.0 block, pushrods, lifters, lunati forged crank. I am trying to build a higher compression 370 nitrous motor (11:5.1-12:0.1). I more than likely have a custom cam built for what i want but what sponsors would you recomend? Tranny is a rossler th400 rated at 800rwhp and a nitrous 4200 stall that will be connected to a ford 9 inch with 3:42-3:73 gears on 28X13.5X15 MT street radials. Understanding it will depend on heads and cam setup is it possible to make 450rwhp+ going threw that setup? I will be spraying a 100 out of the hole then a 250 on top of that as soon as i hit 2nd depending on how the car reacts to it. My goals are to run 9.50 in a 3400lbs car and for the motor to be able to handle atleast a 400 shot if needed to get me to that time slip. More or less why i started this thread is to get info on these motors from what other have built and see what im working with. One of the only reasons im building this motor is cause i got a 6.0 for free and i want to hit a 9.50 this coming year, so no i dont want to build a 402 nor a 408.

Thanx

I think you should run the 400 hit progressive in a single stage and just ramp it up in each gear traction permitting. As far as top end I would definitely suggest an aftermarket casting to avoid pushing water. What is your budget for the topend?

At the track not that much, since I relocated the battery out back. I don't have front sway so in corners yeah. Once I get me tranny rebuilt (again), I will get K member and upper /lower A arms to make up for the extra 92lbs.
I was a bit underfunded (aren't a lot of us ), so when I put it together, I had no choice but to keep the heads and the cam.
LME did a great job on the block, so I think by next Summer, I'll be able to put another top end together. Maybe harnessing another 30rwhp would be nice.

VIG 3200, actually stalls at 3800 or so.
As for the rear, just sit down, I'm still running the 10 bolt (Moser axel, VINCI micronite gears, TA cover) changing fluid twice a year. That thing is holding up to over 600rwhp on nitrous from launch (brake stalling). 3.73 gears/ ET 26x11.5x15
Have raced it for 3 years now, just changed gears 2 month ago (old set Motive were wining).

It depends on the size cam and head chamber you want to run.
I have 58.93 CC heads, with .050 gasket, .010 out of hole and WISECO 2.2cc pistons.
I'm ~ 11.75 SCR

If i could get around the same amount of power you are getting to the wheels that would be great im also looking for the same compression ratio if not a little more.

Mind you, when I get funds after I fix my crapped tranny, I will change heads and cam to something a bit bigger.
A 370, properly done can reach 500rwhp potential, but more on the 480 rwhp range.
I had to reuse my heads and cam but they are not optimum for what the motor can deliver.
Something in the 240/24x range.

... and how about some L92 heads? The car intake has been released. There are even flow results for the heads/intake combo flowing over 330 @ .600".
