what do you guys think of the very first 500 ci small block that is based off of a LS2 block. the guys at sema said they got 950rwhp with a mild nitrous kit and stock LS7 intake manifold. it is a 4.5 stroke and a 4.250 bore.
Search for ERL performance. We've been talking about it since last SEMA. There is plenty of info on it, including the crazy price and all the modifacations that have to be done.
didn't S A M already build a 500 ci erl deck plated engine earlier in the year ? don't know if they used the ls1 or ls2 block but does it really make a big difference which one it started life as ?
It's based off of the LS2 block, 10.2 deck height, Ductile iron sleeves, bushed lifter bores, doweled billet main caps,ARP studs, 1/2" head studs, 6.8 Carrillo rods, billet 4340 4.5" crank, forged Wiseco pistons, Comp cam, Timing chain, balanced and assembled. Retail $13K through a dealer. Mild pump gas was +700 HP 650 tq NA, 920 HP 906 tq w/ 250 shot.
