Default opinions needed??

ok, so im about to do my headers this weekend, after that comes the stall and then on to heads and cam, or just a cam, thats where i need u guys to come in!! My situation is, i have a wife and a 7 month old baby, my wife drives my car everyone in a while with the baby, i also drive pretty far for work. so what i need is suggestions on a mild cam that will have some decent gains?! My car is mainly a street car and only goes to thetrack a couple of times a year. i want twelvels but after the headers and stall, ill be done with that goal. with the cam i just want to get as close to 400 rwhp as possible, but still be bareable for the fam!? I know this is asking alot but this is also my first experience with cams and have never done any internal work before! I know nothing on the subject and as much barney style help as possible would be appreciated!! Also, if its a mild cam, do i still need heads? thnx!

With the Stall and longtubes and a good tuner you should be able to get 12's, If you still wanna cam it i would go with a Ls1 hotcam or the c5 zo6 cam.

You know you liked the sound of my ****. Hotcam is dirt cheap too. But seriously though I would go a different route. Look for something with more lift.

CheatR
a 224/224 <--- a few diff kinds read up and choose for your self.
hot cam
z06 cam.

I would really sway you towards either the 224/224 or CheaTR myself. With Cams like that you don't have to do heads, but it sure won't hurt. Heads can REALLY wake up even these smaller cams.
