slight tick in the valve train

i hear it right around by the intake manifold closest to the front of the car...

I had a slight tick that was fixed by switching from 5w-30 to 0w-40 Mobil one............................just food for thought. good luck

same prob here, I've replaced everything in the top end for my heads cam swap. Even with everything new, I still have that same tick. It even got a little louder when I put on the new heads................................The only thing I could tell you is to check the pushrods. If they are ok then just drive it. Our motors are very noisey by nature of an all aluminum motor.
