I would talk to MTI, and other local places. Would not want to worry abuot shipping charges and all that jazz (customs from Canada, etc) tell them what yuo are looking for and approx. amount to spend and go from there

Try valvegod@aol.com for the cheapest price in stock never-run engines. From GM you are looking at something over $5000 for a stock motor.

I'm am going to be replacing my engine here and I do not know if I should
1)Buy a stock LS1 engine and modify it.
2)Build an LS1 engine from scratch and modify it while building it.
3)Buy a whole modified engine.
Which one?
Also where can I get a complete LS1 engine that is new and stock? Price?

Have you looked at ARE's crate engine packages? I would suggest starting there...

i have a friend who has a spare shortblock that would be great to rebuild...it needs rings and bearings, other than that its fine.....hes not asking much, 1500 for the shortblock...if youd like it, let me know so we can arrange something....
