Hot cam vs MTI T1
My best time with the hot cam
1.930 60', 12.450 @ 114.20 MPH
and my new best time with the T1, and LS6 intake
1.950 60' 12.165 @ 116.11 mph
Conditions were probably about the same.
Both cams dynoed within 5 hp of each other.
i added the intake between cams, so not much
I can do about that.
whats the difference between a T1 and a B1? Which one is better for a six speed, and why?

The T1 is on a 112 lsa and the B1 is on a 114 lsa. I was using the B1 w/ stock heads and was more than happy with it (11.90@117.72, 1.76 60')
Jason
dyno.. but compares leading cams
including T1 B1 and a few others.

The theory is that the B1 peaks a little later but in practice (On the dyno) the two cams are pretty much identical with the exception being the smoother idle of the B1 and the better emissions of the B1. The B1 tends to extend the power peak a couple of 100 rpms but the overall curves look pretty much identical.
I use the B1 and love it, idles great, makes great power and passes emissions with ease all on the bone stock programming (HPP+ used from rev limit and fans etc, no engine, idle speed programming)
Cheers,
Chris
I will take all 3 of my Dyno sheets
to work Mon. so I can scan them. And post them later. I have a stock one, hot cam, then T1.
You can feel a huge difference in power
with the T1. And the car idles alot better.

Ah
Say a certain person was not worried about emissions, and the car was for street use, go with the T1? I have heard a B1 run, very smooth idle, is the T1 much different? A lot more lopy?
thanks for all the info so far

Idle, pcm probs, power etc. All are answered here and by the people who actually use them.
Good luck
