Hey guys, just wondering which catback some of you are running with FLP headers to get the least amount of drone. I used search on here and ls1.com and lots of people say mufflex/atr/hooker for the least drone. But locally 2 guys with identical 99 z's with tts long tubes have hooker catbacks, one has NO drone, the other has more drone than my zed style cutout. Cars have the exact same mods, both are a4. Im just hoping theres a majority of people who are running a certain catback with FLP's w/orp and not getting much drone to help me make up my mind. Anyone think some bullet mufflers will take care of the drone with stock catback? Thanks!

A friend has the FLP's (head and cam car), He tried B@B muffler and some other brand. He runs cats so, I'm sure that knocks down some of the drone. Anyway, he's using a Hooker Aero chamber and the car sounds more agressive but quieter..(no drone).

Here is an online poll about catbacks.. doent
reflect the drone problem but you can see
the most popular.. I have the MAC catback.
I dont have any drone at all with slp headers.

Thanks for the input! Thats kinda where im stuck, I like the idea of having an electric cutout so I can run a toned sound then flip to open headers. You can get that with a borla and a plate switch for that but you have to fork over $600 for the borla. Isnt there something in between that has a toned sound and no rasp for a fair price ($300). Im leaning towards the hooker setup with some nice tips..Anyone else have any input? Thanks again

If you have $600, you could check out the group purchase started over at ls1.com on the GMMG exhaust. Price includes shipping. It's supposed to be the best sounding on an ls1 and you don't lose your lowend like with the loudmouth and you don't have the drone. The companys site is www.gmmginc.net
