Need Help on installing my Shift Light
Went to install my shift light today on my 2000 T/A Ws6 and was a bit confused. I need to know where to hook the shift light up to(all the wires) <img src="images/icons/confused.gif" border="0"> , and what is the best way to get the wires to the engine compartment? Thanks...Michael

Re: Need Help on installing my Shift Light
You can go through the firewall under the dashboard in front of the passengers seat. Look under the hood of the car on the passenger side between the fender and the firewall you will see a rubber grommet you can fish a coat hanger through here and pull wires into the engine compartment. Be sure that you go through the grommet so the wires will not rub against the bare metal. As for the tac if you are talking an LS1 then look at the same spot under the hood for the PCM it is about 6 to 8 inches long by about 4 inches wide. On there you see a lot of wires you have to find the white one I think it is the number 10 and this is the wire you want to get the RPM reading from as for the rest of the wire it really depends on the shift light. Who makes it?

Check out www.installuniversity.com Install Doc's, then Matt Harlan Shift Light Install. It will show you in pictures what wire you need.
