OK thanks...so? all the cylinders should drop the same RPMs? And I have Pro 409 race wires. What is the reason for using insulated pliers? Will you get juiced?

Ideally, your cylinders will all drop the same rpm's when the wires are pulled. Try it using bare hands for a nice jolt of adrenaline.

Here's a simple diagnostic test:

Pull plug wires off the coil packs one at a time
Record drop in idle speed after each pull,
Replace and repeat.

This will give you a rough idea of how each cylinder is performing, i.e., weak cylinders will not cause much of an rpm drop. Strong ones will.

Make sure the engine is fully warmed up, use insulated pliers or better yet, a special spark plug wire puller, made of plastic.
