How does a split duration cam work?
I’m taking a guess (hopefully the logical guess here). Split duration would have 2 different amounts of duration, Intake versus Exhaust? One being slightly longer.. Which has the longer duration? Or does it depend on the cam? How would this result in better performance?
Also what are the advantages and disadvantages of a split cam?
Thanks for helping me fill my head full of knowledge.
More exhaust duration will work well with n2o applications.
Thanks for the link.. I knew cams are dependant on a lot of other things like head flow, converter, bla bla. Still good link..
