Default 422 questions

What kind of gas mileage would I be looking at with a 422 and what octane would I need to run? Also, what would be the max compression I could get if I were to go N/A and what compression should I get if I wanted to run a 200 shot? What would be the hp difference in the two N/A? Thanks.

first spraying that much you gonna get coated/nitros pistons. 93 for a basic 422 10.5 to 1 should be ok but i have seen stock cars ping with that so that is something you would want to try out but as to the track a 97 octane is always good <img src="images/icons/smile.gif" border="0">

NA? with a tight lsa cam you could go 11.5:1 and up. on N2O id stay about 10.8:1 with the same cam. dont want too much cyl pressure. gas milage would go down, but i dont know if you have an m6 or a4 so its hard to tell really.

My compression was 12:1. I've been running 103+ octane. I'm upgrading to LS6 heads and lowering the compression. How much, I don't know yet. I would direct that question to Jayson@MTI to get an in depth reply.
