Email me.
And I will do my best to help you out. I am working pretty much non stop again. So it will be a hit and miss thing. But I will endeavor to help you out of your quandry.
At first glance it seems you have a short block problem to me.
Please include ring gap, ring type in your email. Were the rings turned to face the correct way? Are you SURE the gap is correct for the rings? Were they file to fit? Who assembled it? Do they offer a warranty? What have they said?
The Hammer cam, like ANY aftermarket performance cam will lower your compression some what due to overlap. BUT, one of the great things of the Hammer is its late opening valve timing that will (should) allow you to lose less compression than most other cams of the same, or near same size. (IMO)
I simply do NOT beleive that cam timing is your problem. At first glance..short block assembly is where I would be looking for more answers.
Again.. email me.
