My choice: Comp Cams grind # 3752/3752-114

That will get you a 218/218 .527/.527 114 LSA cam

I'd still like to know the rest of the specs on the MMS 218 cam. I really don't want a lot of lift. I would think something in the area of .53X/.53X//218/218//114 would be perfect for my setup. Anybody make one like this?

I would be fine with a single pattern, but I really don't want the valve spring hassels of the higher lift. That's why I'm looking at the comp 216/220, but if I could get a 218/218 or maybe even a 220/220 with lower lift and 114LSA I think I'd be set.

Thanks for all the info guys. Raughammer, I read your link and was very overwhelmed by it!

I like the looks of this cam. Is anybody here using it?

Anyone have a website for GTP? I like the sound of that 222/.540 112 cam!

RPM, if you are looking at that 218 w/.527 lift, why not try the 218/218 .537 .537 custom comp cam. It has faster ramp rates. Its adv. duration is 267. Thats the same as their 214 standard ramp rate. This way, you could squeeze in 218* @.050, but still have less advertised duration. This works on the same concept as the Hammer cam.

1 month ago, I installed a mild set of heads and a comp 216/220 114 LSA cam. Idled like a kitten. Dyno showed 60 extra rwhp. Last Friday I installed the hammer cam. Now it idles like a pig, lopes and stalls sometimes I dyno'd it today made no extra power. Cam is degreed in correctly, I run a nice double row chain too. I give up! the other cam was lovely.

Did you get the PCM tuned for the new cam?
