Cam Questions What lobe seperation has a better top end pull 112 0r 114? And as far as stock heads go what is the biggest cam I can effectively run (not a solid roller) ? I don't want to put a cam in that does not work well w/ the stock heads. I think I am gonna go with a single pattern cam like maybe a 224 or a 226. Are these over kill? I have a daily driver so I just really want the cam to perform. So where these cams might seem a little extreme you gotta understand the car is only driven once or twice a week. What would be the best valve spring to run?

Re: Cam Questions the 112 lobe seperation will pull harder up top 114 is better for emissions and low end torque. 224 duration should be ok for stock heads but i wouldnt go any bigger, did ever think to try the hotcam?

Higher LSA moves your powerband up higher in rpm.
Less LSA improves midrange/low rpm torque.
Higher LSA is better for emissions - correct.
For stock heads, stick with something between 221-224 intake duration. Performance will be similar. Both will have a noticable idle lope.
Comp 26918 springs seem like the best fit for now.
