Default build a Z06 perfoming WS6

Ok, I've read sponsor sites that boast 600hp on motor for a $17900 engine swap which goes to about $22000 installed. On the other hand, I hear guys bragging about there 408's that will kill a ZO6. Does one have to spend $22000 to get a Z06 performing f body? (BY PERFORMING, I MEAN SPEED, DRIVABILITY, DECENT GAS MILEAGE, RELIABILITY). Should I just buy a $13000 LS7 and drop it in or is there any other cheaper Naturally aspirated options.

Z06 do not have 600rwhp, shiiit, I can kill a Z06 at the track in stock form and I'm A4.

Z06 are light, so you need to keep that in mind.
LS2 based 427 with some other weight removal goodies and good suspention mods.

Or you could go with a built 370 and procharger or turbo and kill everyone that you meet...That's way too much money for just the money bro...

Wouldn't an ls2 based 427 be more than the $13000 Zo6 motor?

About the same, but you do not have to change all the electronic harnesses.
And a $ 13000 LS7 is without any peripheral equipment.

BTW, I believe there was a thread on here about a LS7 swap into F-body. If I recall correctly, swap is like $35000

With the resleeving and all it would probably rival the price or more....You have to factor in the heads, cam, work, and all of the little nickel and dime stuff for the LS2...I would say get the LS7 if those were the two choices... Again I say if you're looking for the power go Forced Induction...Let's say you get a $6k long block and go with a $6k blower that is still cheaper than the LS7 and most of the parts are innerchangable between the LSX engines...The LS7 has many proprietary parts...The heads, intake, and other stuff need to come from that engine... The regular LSX parts are getting much cheaper and have been proven time and time again... You can get a 6.0ltr built engine from Speedinc or somewhere else for around $3500, reuse much of your stuff like heads, upgrade valve springs, do the FI of choice and still have money for fuel upgrades and stuff that's going to break...Just a thought
