need some advice
personally i would go with a PMAC (dont think they are still called that, but Mike Kurtz is the guys name i think) tranny and either stall your converter to 3600 (#7 pump, actual 4200rpm stall. 2.37STR) during the down time. PMAC is in or near houston i believe and have a 6 month racing warranty. for all out performance you could spend the money and get a TP4400. i definately dont think your drivability would suffer from either with the 3.37's, and both could/would net some 1.5 or low low 1.6 60's depending on the track.
As for the motor i would get Steve to bolt up a good heads/cam setup even if it was a mild one. you cant really beat the dependibility of the heads/cam packages out there. Think GTP.

ok i think my tranny is on the verge to going to crap. i have a 98 z28 a4 and i was basically wondering how i can have good performance and drivability. i am interested in buying a th350 but i dont want my gas mileage to go to crap. how can you acheive 60 fts in the high 1.4's to low 1.5's and still retain good drivability. should i get a level 4 flp tranny w/ like a tp4400 or so, or should i get a th350 w/ a smaller converter around 3200 range. keep in mind i just would like to hear your opinions on this and if this was your daily driver. i have another car to drive but i like cruising in the neighborhood waking everyone up . i have a vig 2800 stall right now and w/ full weight i was pulling 60's in the high 1.6 range. on another note my car is a high mileage car around 64000 and still kicking . i am getting tired of dumping $$$ into it and i was wondering if i could throw on a ati/vortech s/c on it and be alright. i was told not to put a s/c on a high mileage car but whats 8 or 9# of boost gonna hurt . seriously though is this a bad idea
any input would be greatly appreciated
Andre
