Default How does TM work?

Does anyone know what engages the TM between shifts? Some cars have problems with it, some don't. There must be a reason why TM reacts inconsistently. It's not like we have a real torque sensor that it can use, so what is the algorithm for it?

There is a good post about this here in this forum. Look back the past couple of days for a post titled something like “why are we all deleting TM” or something like that.

Certain conditions must exist for it to engage under certain load calculations. After market converters and shift kits seem to exaggerate these conditions and cause an issue. I’m having mine removed <img src="images/icons/smile.gif" border="0">
