Please help with these trouble codes that were thrown!!
After driving the car for about 40 miles my ses light came on.
I had the car Atap'd today (thanks JS) and it revealed I had thrown codes P0405, P0300 and P0410. What troubles me is that P0405 is EGR cicuit low. Why would that be thorwn if I had the egr deleted?
I know the P0300 is a random misfire code, which doesn't concern me since I had some slight knock immediately after installing the intake. But the other two codes are a mystery.
Could someone please go into some detail as to why those two other codes were thrown and what if any impact they have.
Thanks.

<strong>Not knowing the history of the car, I would say clear the codes and see which ones return. Youve got the EGR, misfire and A.I.R. system. Maybe it's from previous problems or messing around unplugging stuff. Sounds like maybe the EGR wasn't removed from your programming.</strong><hr></blockquote>
Thanks for the reply Speartech. We did just what you mentioned. We cleared the codes and I have only drive about 20 miles since doing so, but trouble free. I'm just curious as to why the egr code was set off but after such a long time, I though it was an instant thing when it is disconnected.
We'll wait and see what pops up in the next few days.
Anybody else have an explanation of why these codes were thrown when they should have been deleted from the PCM?
In light of current events with Carteck, Im not eager to go back there to get this straightened out if it turns out to be a problem.
Are those codes something that should have been set immediately after disconnecting the egr?

<strong>Yes, the P0405 will set within 10 seconds of the fault occuring.</strong><hr></blockquote>
Well, the SES light came back on today. That's about 40 miles again since I had the codes cleared. My question is, if it is the po405 again, why is it taking so long for it to set the SES light?
It's weird, I would think it would be like the AIT sensor where as soon as you unplug it, the light would come on.
Also, is there any reason why I can't clear this by doing a standard PCM reset (pulling the two fuses)?
Thanks to anyone that can help....
