Re: Comp Cams timing chain? There are two Cloyes chains. One uses the factory chain and has billet gears and the other has the same gears and a jwiss chain, which is awesome. Comp sources their chains from Cloyes I believe.

Re: Comp Cams timing chain? The Cloyes '-AL' part number has the better chain. HARD to find anyone stocking it. Most often a special order. Expect a $200-250 premium for that p/n. It's better just to get the Cloyes 'A' gears, toss the RENOLD chain away and order a Jwis Kettin from Katech for $80.
Also, FWIW the Comp gears are Cloyes gears with one minor change which isn't important. Consider them Cloyes gears. Also, Katech has them cheaper at like $100 for the 'A' gears.
