How many miles have you put on it since the H/C work was done? How long before you first noticed this problem? Have you checked the PCV system to see if there's a bunch of oil in it?

About 300 miles since H/C work. I have nto check PVC yet but will asap. I just noticed it when I posted.

I think it may be running rich. I noticed moist black residue in the tailpipes. It also put out a puff of smoke on startup with it setting for about 30 minutes after being driven.

Any thoughts?

The smoke is white, right? If it's black smoke, then it's not oil.

The puff seems to be white. What I was saying was that I also have a wet tailpipe that is black inside.

my 02 Z28 sounds just like that at startup. I'm going to switch to the german castrol and see how that works........damn that oil is high$$$$$$$$$!!!!
