Custom Cam I was thinking about experimenting w/ a custom grind and was wondering if there were any more specs to consider other than...
duration @ .050
duration @ .006
valve lift
LSA
Intake centerline
will this be sufficient info for the grinder and let them fill in the gaps or is there any other details to give them?

Re: Custom Cam By no means am I a camshaft expert, but I do know there is a lot more to a cam lobe than the .006 and .050 duration number. Most of the time when you order a "custom" cam, you are actually just ordering your choice of existing lobe profiles, along with your choice of LSA and advance/retard ground into the cam.
IE, it's not as simple as saying you want a custom grind with xxx lift and xxx duration.

John, how did you select your cams before hand? Were they off the shelf grinds? or did you specify exactly what you wanted?
