They will work just fine. You are planning on having them ported or at-least having larger valves installed correct? 5.3l & 4.8l heads have smaller valves than 5.7l heads which will more than offset the extra compression you obtain from them.

I've got a set of MTI stage 2 (5.3l) truck heads on my car with their dual valve springs - the only way MTI sells them.

In stock form the 5.7l has a lager intake valve then the 5.3l head, but once they worked on they can accept the same size valves. Therefore you get the benefit of the half point more compression.

I am very satisfied with my set up from MTI. I normally run 11.90's @ 118-120 on Nitto DR and dyno 420 rwhp running with cut out closed.

Hope this helps.
