Default MTI custom tuning questions

...Tony? <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0">

What exactly can you adjust with the HPPIII when you have custom PCM tuning from MTI? The important thing for me is being able to adjust shift points and make tire/gear changes. My only other option was Z-Industries. I finally received a reply from them and they don't delete any trouble codes. I really don't feel like watching the SES light flash at me every time the car idles. It's a 98 and also has an LS6 intake so that would be another SES glowing at me. I wanna ditch all the EGR codes, misfire codes, torque modulation and rear O2 stuff. Nothing fancy about the tuning, just get me a halfway steady idle. With just the HPPIII it already idles decent with just drilling the TB. I've called up to MTI several times and the guy that answers the phone is always rude to me and doesn't answer my questions. I'm gonna see if I can make it up there late this week or early next week. Anything going on up there this weekend?

You will be able to adjust your shiftpoints and also make tire/gear changes with no problem. We have a solution for the codes that you mentioned. As for the guy that answered the phone and was rude to you, i believe we have a solution for him too.... Call back and ask specifically for Chris Stahl or Jayson and they will be more than happy to share their time with you and help you with your computer tuning.

Yes, Christopher Stahl is a great guy. He's been working with me for the past week on getting the right tuning setup for me. He's been nothing but helpful and patient.

Jayson told me that the only things he recommends messing with after the tuning are gear changes and shift points, so that's perfect for you.

1 Bad Z...aren't you guys using LS1 edit now?

Yes, they are using LS1-Edit at MTI, but it is currently only available for 99-00 year cars. I can't wait until the 98 version is ready.

Not sure on how they are handling the custom tuning situation right now since we have LS1-Edit for some of the cars. You can feel free to email Jayson at JaysonMTI@aol.com for information on the subject, he will be glad to help you out.
