It seems that my stock crank pulley “wobbles” at bit at idle (didn’t check at higher rpms). Has anyone else noticed this on their car? I’m planning on an ASP pulley, but I’m worried that this wobbling might be representative of lack of balance in the crank. If that’s the case, might the lighter weight pulley worsen that condition and maybe cause idle problems and/or vibrations, or any other adverse effects?
What do you guys think?

Maybe you’re right though. I’ll see how it looks before the first six pack is down... <img src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" border="0">

mine does the same thing. i realy doubt its the crank, probably just the pulley. the asp should solve it. are you getting any false knock from the pulley?

No, thankfully no false knock. That would be great if the ASP clears it up <img src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" border="0">
I figured I’d have the pulley installed with the cam since it’s free labor for that part. I hate to put stock stuff back on after it’s already off...
Do you get any KR from yours?

I noticed a little wobble from the stock balancer on mine but the asp spins true. I dont think its anything to worry about. The best way to avoid a hang over is to stay drunk. Just drink alot of water also so you dont get dehydrated. Thats the worst part of a hangover

Thanks for the replies guys. I guess the ASP will take care of the issue. <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">
