mikeith, To make 450 rwhp, you're gonna have to go pretty big/aggressive if you plan to stay NA. By that I mean, aftermarket intake, TB, manifold; big cam, ported heads, and LT's w/ aftermarket exhaust. Our GTO's lose more HP thru the drivetrain than the solid axle F-Body's. To make 450rwhp, you're gonna have to be about 540-550 at the flywheel of your 346 LS1. I'm not aware of any packages that claim that much...
I ain't tryin' to be a downer, if you want to go that big, More Power To Ya! Regardless, have fun with it!

Read the post about "Results with ETP heads". I have a post in there where my cousin's 'vette' is making 445rwhp and 406 rwtq with the ECM about 80% tuned. I should have the final #'s by the end of next week.

we lose 15-17% of our power through the drivetrain so to get 425 to the ground im going to need AT LEAST 500bhp.... anyone know of a decently priced kit making that... and yes w/ heads, cam, intake, tb, underdrive pulley, roller rockers, cai, everything.... i have exhaust covered, i already have a catback and my gf is buyin me kooks 1 7/8" LT's for X-Mas .... i know i know.... i can SMELL the jelousy!!! but anyway... would i be better just throwin down 3800 for a 408 shortblock and buildin little at a time from there? caus so far thats the only thing i can come up with to get the numbers i want and still be streetable

My cousin's car is very streetable and is his daily driver. Right now even at wide open throttle his instant mpg gauge only drops to 19 mpg. At cruise it gets 30-32 mpg on the same instant mpg gauge. His car is making 445 rear wheel HP right now with only about 80% of the ECM being recalibrated. That is the same as or more than the new Z06 that has been dyno'd at the current shop, that is tuning the car.
