Default Just installed B1 cam and HPP3. Have Questions

1. I installed a B1 cam from MTI last weekend into my 01 Trans Am 6sd. I did not reset the computer or drill out the TB. I let the car idle for a few minutes drove it a round for a few days and everything seemed ok. Except for the warm starts. On warm starts it would hunt for Idle for a few seconds. But it would never die with or without the AC on.
Now a week later the car starts shaking really bad when I first start it. And now for the first time it died twice at a stop sign after I turned on the AC. What do you think the car is doing?

2. I just installed my HPP3. I set the rev limiter for 6600. The problem is that it hits the limiter at about 6200-6300.

Thanks for the help
Jeff

My guess is that your IAC counts are up in the 120 range. If the car stalls coming to a stop or when you put the AC on you may want to scan the car.

John,
Can I check the IAC counts with a TECH II because I have access to one were I work.
Allso, Do you think that I should reset the computer and let it relearn the Idle.
Thanks John

Yes you can.

You really need to get them down to 35-50 which is stock.

Either crack the TB blade a bit or drill out the hole... Need to get more air in there...

And resetting the pcm won't do very much, if you crack the blade or drill it out the car will compensate on the fly.

John,
What size should I drill the TB blade to?
I did not think I would have to drill the TB with a B1 cam.
Thanks again Jeff
