purchase a head/cam setup from a vendor, do they port the heads to go along with the cam you have selected? or are they pretty much all standard. found a good price on a set of ARE stage 2 heads, but don't want to go along with them if they were matched to a cam that isn't going to work for ME. thanks for any advice.

Unless they were for a big bore engine they should be the same. In other words the porting for a 218 cam would be the same as the porting for a 224 cam for instance.
