Default Help Help Help

Ok I know that this is an LS1 forum but everyone else on the LT1 forums never seem to answer my questions right so hopefully you guys can. Last night I was leaving RPM WS6's house. My car was sitting for a couple of hours. I went to start it and no problem, the problem was that there was what sounded like an exaust leak but along with that fluttering noise came a very loud noise from the valvetrain that sounds like the air cond. compressor when it clicks on but much louder and that noise is periodical. So I left it over night and came to pick it up to take back home, same noises, when I got maybe 5 miles away the car all of a sudden got so sluggish, like I am not on all cylinders. So that is the problem, there is always the constant fluttering noise that speeds up with the rpm's and the every so often poping noise. The only things I messed with in the valvetrain was putting in the LT4 hot cam kit. I hope you guys can help.

The only things that are stock are the pushrods and lifters but I really doubt it is a bent pushrod.

It sounds like something is slapping the underside of the passenger side valve cover. My first thought was a broken valve spring too, but when the car was still at my house it was running great except for the sound. I would think that with a broken spring it would run like crap, correct?

Perhaps a rocker arm came loose???

Pete, let us know what you find out...
