car has a ticking noise from driver side valve cover. worse when first started. idles slightly rough but runs good. been going on for about 2 months. lost 3 mph at track. heard the horror stories about bent pushrods, could this be my problem? i would think it would thrash really bad and not run worth a sh%t but its never happened to me bdfore.

if you bent or even broke a pushrod like i did you'll know....my car started running like CRAP and was giving me misfire codes out the ying yang....this was the result <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">

that is what i thought it would be like. catastrophe. mine is just a metallic noise and slightly rough idle. any chance it bent enough to give slack in the rocker arm but not broken?
