Default flow testing stock air lid

Has anyone flow tested a stock air lid versus an aftermarket lid? The opening on the lid is oval shaped. Something like the stock y-pipe. But it looks like the surface area of the opening on the stock lid might not be that bad. The hump at the bottom of the opening probably causes a shyt load of turbulance. The fins on the under side of the lid all point to the opening which could be a good thing. I guess what i'm getting at is that i want to make my car appear to be as stock as possible. I know most of you will just say " just replace the lid and be done with it". Well thats fine but I trying to go for total stealth. Has anyone modified their stock lid to have high flow but look totally stock on the outside?

mmmmmm.......guess you could cut out the ribs inside and maybe put something (duct tape) over the holes inside that lead to the silencers

Even the die hard John Campbell replaced his stock lid with MTI one... even if it was free <img src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" border="0">
