Default Header Bolts, same as any other SBC?

I am looking for some replacement bolts because I have header of people snapping off bolt heads during the header installs. Are the ls1 header bolts the same as any other SBC? I dont really want to hassle with the stage8 locking set, just something a little stronger like ARP.

No. The header bolts are metric. I believe they are 8M x 1.00, but you'd better double check at your local hardware store.

Don't overtorque the header bolts!

I have never snapped any header bolts. Or any bolt on the car EVER.

Some of the torque specs are not very much.

And my car has seen a few sets of headers in the last few years FWIW.
