The Macs or the SLP's-----only two i am considering
mods are in the sig.---100 shot of nitrous, what would be best the LT's or the Macs?
Which ones are easier to install?
I know the price difference but i want the best for my baby. <img src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" border="0">

Consider the new Hooker long tubes. Not much more $$ than Macs, and look to be good quality. Actually, the painted version is cheaper than Macs. Like $360 or something.

I posted basically the same response to the FLP header posting. You will need to check for any differences between the years of our cars though. I know nothing about nitrous and how that would affect your set up.
Just my .02 cents worth with my SLP LT Headers, "Y" Pipe, and RT Cats. Seriously, if I had any problems with them I would tell you. They are a perfect match with my 01' SS.
I installed them myself on jacks with some help from reference postings. (It took me 3 days by myself) I am not a mechanic by any means either. They fit perfect and the quality is great. I have not encountered any clearance problems with them. Basically, I am saying they are a great product with no problems. Are there better headers out there...maybe, I am letting you know my experience with the SLP LT's. No risk with the SLP LT's on a 01' SS.
Hope this helps.
Todd.

I too have SLP's LT and I'm quite happy with them. I dont know much about the Mac headers so I cant comment on them.

i ABSOLUTELY love my dynatech LT headers. for the money and sound, dont go with the macs. they have the worst sound of all of them. the FLP/Dynatechs have had great success and were SOOOOOO easy to install. mine installed in less than two hours when doing my cam! that is great in my opinion.
I have SLP headers.. no problem here..
I really like them.. I installed them
myself at home..
Dont forget to do the online poll
for headers and anything else..
