NEED help! Needle bearings in oil pan AGAIN!

NEED help! Needle bearings in oil pan AGAIN! Hi all I need some desparate help. I purchased my car used (1 owner who my father works with very easy on the car) only problem with the car was that needle bearings were found so the rocker arms were replaced. No problems for 5 or 6 oil changes however with my 2nd oil change today I found 1 single bearing stuck to the drain plug. WTF! fortunately I'm taking the car off the road but what advice do you have for me?! I'm desparate! PS don't even utter the word warranty as I've got 62K on her and warranty is history...PS its a 99' Z28....
Re: NEED help! Needle bearings in oil pan AGAIN! you know it could still be parts that haven't been drained out before. happens sometimes that he magnet isn't strong enough. hopefully nothing else serious is wrong!

Re: NEED help! Needle bearings in oil pan AGAIN! I'd pull the valve covers and check all of the rockers again. It's very possible that it's a bearing left from the original rocker arm that broke.

As easy as that sounds <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0"> I must say I'm a newbie is this something that I could do myself...I'll have 3 months since the car is away for the winter...I'm hoping everyone is right...but would would I be looking for once I pull the valve covers...come to think of it anyone have any links on HOW to remove the valve covers? <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0"> thanks guys~!

Re: NEED help! Needle bearings in oil pan AGAIN! I had about 15k between the first 32 needles and the final 33rd. Just check your rockers again to see if ones going. If you know they pulled out 33 per side of the rocker then you have another going.

Re: NEED help! Needle bearings in oil pan AGAIN! you won't hurt the car, the needles won't get past the oil pickup screen, so no damage. I found 10-15 of them on the shelves of the head while changing rockers.
