Hello everyone! I recently bought and dyno'd a 2000 SS and was wondering what the 2000 LS1s dynoing with a stock factory exhaust without a cutout! With my current mods listed in sig. I thought they were fairly high compared to my 98 Z28 M6. that dyno'd on the same dyno @ MMS with SLP LT & Loudmouth and the usual bolt ons except a MAF translator @ 325 RWHP, 330 RWTQ.
I know the 01-02 LS1 F-bodys are cranking out big numbers with the new LS6 intake and all with very very few mods!
Could I possibly have a factory freak LS1 or is this normal for the 2000 models?
Thanks!

I guess the Moderators aren't allowing to post sigs. at this time so here's my list of mods that matter on the dyno.
DirectFlo lid, K&N, SLP 85mm MAF, Fasttoys ram air kit, Hypertech & stat.(no tuning) Taylor 10.4mm wires, MAF translator (lean 5%)and the complete stock factory SS exhaust with 2 single tips. The car had 15,550 miles and Mobil 1 5-30 wt.

Cutout's usually average a gain of 7-10 rwhp on stock LS1's, and around 8-12 rwhp on heads/cam cars. Now when you consider that a cutout is 30 bucks, and ~30 bucks to weld it, 60 bones for 10+ rwhp aint to shabby. I'll also mention that when you're racing, that little "overrated" cutout could be the deciding factor of you losing or winning.

Looks like that is normal for us 2000 guys. I'm assuming you have a M6? I put down 300 with simliar mods, except I don't have the LT's which are good for about 20 HP( from what I hear); plus I have a A4 which causes me to loose about 10 to 15 HP more than a M6. Still damn good numbers for yea

No factory freak for you. I've had my car on the rollers several times. Your #'s sound fairly similar.
600 Miles - Bone Stock, 600 mile on it - 310 hp/ 330 ft/lbs
3000 Miles - Lid/Ported MAF, switch to synth motor oil, 330 hp - 340 Torque
8000 Miles - Same mods as above, different dyno - 331 hp - 341 Torque
25,000 Miles - Lid, Stock Maf, 4.10 gears, different dyno, cutout closed - 315 hp - 323 Torque
And finally check sig for cutout open.

312rwhp bone stock with 500mi. 312rwhp bone stock with 1100mi different dyno.
Minor bolt-ons? Y-pipe, cutout, lid, pulley, programming = 339rwhp best pull, 336 average. Stock MAF and all factory smog.
Amazing. This would be a 375hp bone stock engine using '60's gross HP ratings.

Most likely more like 450, the old gross method was taken at the motor with no acessories, no air filter and most likely headers. When net came around in 71 some motors lost near 100 hp with no internal changes. Then when SAE method came out they lost another 10 or so. 300 RWHP plus 15% or so for drivetrain loss, thats around 345-350. Then add 75 or so for the gross method, it equals a heck of a good motor considering it gives up 75 to 100 cid!! Plus it gives great fuel mileage!!! BTW, I've seen a slightly warmed over 426 Hemi put down 390 odd to the rear, slightly means it looked stock. Most folk know you can pick up quite a few ponies while still looking stock.
