Default Sevice Engine Soon??? Please Help.

Anyone else have a problem with getting rid of this light? I did a few of the 'free' mods. I did the cold air, trimmed the EGR, and looped the coolant line around the throttle body. I took the car out for a drive and it was running smooth on the freeway but once I got into town and traffic it was idling rough. After driving in traffic for a couple miles the Service Engine Soon light came on. I took the car home and reset the PCM. I took the car out for another drive and drove about 35 miles freeway and about 10 in town. Once I got in town the light came on again. Car seems to run good under WOT and normal driving but once I stop the idle fluctuates and it idles rough. Is this common with these changes? Should I just be used to having the SES light on all the time now that im changing things? These are the only changes that I have made to the car. Stock air filter, MAF, and TB. Any help and ideas are appreciated. Thanks

If you had the egr tube out of the manifold I would suspect a vacuum leak there. Might have to pull it back out and make sure the oring lined up right.
